JULY BUNCO took place at SHERRY's house. it was our FIRST OFFICIAL OUTDOOR BUNCO ever -- and it was POOLSIDE!!! there was even a TABLE in the pool. bunco babe JORUNN happened to be back in town from norway for a visit and played with us. we all enjoyed a delicious dinner served to us by sherry's lovely family and yummy APPLE DUMPLINGS were for dessert. MICHELE won LAST BUNCO of the night and took home some assorted summery goodies. here were the lucky winners this month...

june bunco

june bunco was at JULIE's house. MARLENE and DEBBIE D subbed for MARY and STEPHANIE S. we had a big salad with grilled CHICKEN and lots of fresh veggies for dinner. julie's new WINE AERATOR was a big hit. we finished the night off with a CHOCOLATE trifle dessert.

mary dropped in on her way to dinner with her family so we were able to give her the james avery necklace we all pitched in to get so she could wear it to her mother's funeral on saturday. we love you, mary!

uno, dos, tres! MAY BUNCO was at darlene's house. APRIL showers bring MAY flowers... and MARGARITAS was the theme for the night. MARLENE subbed for GINNY. we snacked on tortilla chips with salsa and guacamole, fresh fruit, and shrimp cocktail. we drank BLACK BOX wine and MARGARITAS. we chowed down on chicken enchiladas and SPANISH RICE. a STRAWBERRY MARGARITA CAKE was for dessert. olé!

APRIL 15th was tax day. it was also APRIL BUNCO at STEPHANIE C's lovely home in coles crossing. MARLENE subbed for laura and STEPHANIE S' mom for mary — plus we had a GHOST player for ginny. we snacked on strawberries and hummus. we ate spinach salad with couscous and rotisserie chicken and also bean salad. we drank BLACK BOX wine. there was "Not Yo' Momma's Banana Pudding" for dessert. it was all delicious!

it was SHERRY's night -- she was in the running for three categories: most buncos, most wins and last bunco. she decided to take home the big prize, most buncos. MARLENE and DARLENE tied for 2nd most wins and decided to split the pot. $5 each. we call it EQUALLY SHARING. there was a roll off for most losses between STEPHANIE C and LIZ with stephanie c taking the prize. STEPHANIE S took home rolled the LAST BUNCO of the night and got $15, a "BUNCO REFUND." :)

MARCH BUNCO was this week at mary's house. we started the night off with yummy crackers and dips and moved on to a tasty pasta dish with garlic bread and a salad. for dessert we had brownies and ice cream. it was all delicious!

then it was time to start rolling the dice. we had a small group this month — only eight. i guess some of us were MIA because of spring break. but that didn't stop us from having fun. lots of craziness as usual that i won't get into here. hey, what happens at bunco stays at bunco. :) we declared LANDSHARK beer to be the official beverage of the best bunco group ever. well, not all of us — some of us were a little more enthusiastic than others actually. and even though there was some peer pressure, we still managed to play all three rounds.

MARY won most buncos and took home $20. whoohoo! MICHELE had most wins. she won $15. WILMA got the most losses and got her $5 back. not a bad deal. LAURA got the last bunco of the night and took home a pretty brighton key chain. and SHERRY tried to cheat. haa! just kidding! we knew what was going on. :)

FEBRUARY BUNCO was at liz's. it was an extra crazy night with four tables! yay! jorunn was in town plus debbie and marlene played too. we had tamales along with a giant salad plus extras like quinoa, guacamole and black beans. delicious RUM CAKE was for dessert. we drank BLACK BOX wine and liked it -- who knew wine from a box was so good! :)
